Hausberg HB-3563NG Cookie Maker, 13 Cookies, Non-Stick, 1100-1300 W

Bake a batch of treats in one go with the Hausberg HB-3563NG cookie maker. It prepares 13 cookies at once on non-stick plates, with a durable stainless steel body that is easy to clean. A red power light and a green ready light show what the appliance is doing, and slide-resistant feet keep it steady on the worktop.

Before first use

• Remove all packaging.
• Wipe the cooking plates with a sponge or cloth dampened in warm water and dry them with a cloth or paper towel. Do not immerse the unit and do not run water directly onto the cooking surface.
• Lightly coat the cooking plates with a little cooking oil or a cooking spray.
• The first time the appliance is heated it may emit slight smoke or odour – this is normal and does not affect its safety. It may, however, affect the flavour of the first batch, so it is recommended to discard those cookies.

How to bake

1. Close the cookie maker and plug it into a 220–240 V outlet – the red power light comes on.
2. Wait a few minutes for the green ready light to come on, showing that the appliance is preheating. It takes about 3 to 5 minutes to reach baking temperature. The red light stays on as long as the appliance is plugged in, and when the green light goes off the cookie maker is ready to use.
3. Before the first cookies of the day, use a pastry brush to lightly coat the top and bottom plate with vegetable oil; a light coating of non-stick cooking spray also works well.
4. Open the cookie maker and pour batter to fill the lower cooking plate. If necessary, use a spatula to spread the batter into the corners of the grid.
5. Close the cookie maker – the green ready light goes on again.
6. Do not open for at least 1½ minutes. Opening too soon will cause under-baked cookies to split, making them difficult to remove.
7. Once the cookies are baked, carefully remove them with non-metallic utensils.
8. To bake more cookies you do not need to close the appliance and preheat it again – you can pour the batter straight away.
9. When you have finished, unplug the appliance and leave the cookie maker open to cool.

Tips. Do not over mix the batter or the cookies will be tough – stir only until the large lumps of dry ingredients disappear. The optimal amount of batter varies with the recipe; pouring from a measuring cup helps. Spread thick batters to the outer edge of the grid with a heat-proof rubber spatula or another non-metallic utensil before closing the lid. Let the baked cookies cool on a wire rack to retain their crispness.

Important — safety

• Accessible surfaces get very hot while the appliance is operating – do not touch them, use the handle only. The appliance is only to be operated in the closed position and must not be left unattended while switched on.
• Do not immerse the cord, the plug or the appliance in water or any other liquid. Do not use it near water – in the immediate vicinity of a bathtub, washbowls, a swimming pool and the like.
• Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug, after it has been dropped, or if it works intermittently or has stopped working entirely. There are no user-serviceable parts inside – return it to an authorised service facility. A damaged supply cord may only be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person.
• Unplug the appliance when it is not in use and before cleaning, and allow it to cool. Always attach the plug to the appliance first and only then plug the cord into the wall outlet; to disconnect, remove the plug from the wall outlet.
• Do not use outdoors. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or touch hot surfaces. Do not place the appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• Do not use the appliance near gas or other inflammable materials such as benzene, paint thinner or sprays.
• The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the manufacturer or the distributor may cause injuries or damage. Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended use.
• The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or a separate remote-control system.
• Use extreme caution when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
• Persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities and children may use the appliance only under supervision or after proper instruction; children must not play with it. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children.
• Never touch the cooking surface with sharp, pointy or metal objects – they damage the non-stick coating.
• For indoor household use only.

Cleaning and care

Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before cleaning. NEVER immerse the cookie maker in water or any other liquid and NEVER place it in a dishwasher. There is no need to disassemble the appliance for cleaning.

• Brush away any loose crumbs from the grooves. Wipe the grids clean with a paper towel, absorbing any oil or butter; a damp cloth can be used as well. Do not use anything abrasive that can scratch or damage the non-stick coating.
• Wipe the outside with a damp cloth only. Do not use abrasive scouring pads or steel wool – they will damage the finish. A little metal polish suitable for stainless steel may be used occasionally on the top housing.
• Should any batter become baked onto the grids, pour a little cooking oil onto the hardened batter, let it sit for 5 minutes, then wipe it off with a paper towel or a soft cloth.
• Do not use metal utensils to remove your cookies – they damage the non-stick surface.

Storage

Always unplug the cookie maker before storage and make sure it is cool and dry.

• The appliance complies with Directives 2014/35/EU (LVD), 2014/30/EU (EMC) and 2011/65/EU (RoHS) and carries the CE mark. Parts in contact with food are covered by Regulation (EC) 1935/2004, and Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety also applies.
• WEEE (2012/19/EU): do not dispose of the appliance with household waste — take it to an electrical and electronic waste collection point or return it to the seller.
