How to choose a water flosser and an electric toothbrush

Water flosser or electric toothbrush?

They do different jobs: a toothbrush cleans tooth surfaces, while a water flosser uses a pulsing jet of water to rinse food debris from between teeth and along the gum line. A flosser is especially useful if you have braces, implants or bridges. You'll get the best results using both.

What to compare in a water flosser

• Pressure and modes. Start with the gentlest mode – for sensitive gums that's enough. FIT2 HFP11 – 40–110 PSI and 5 modes; FIT2 A18 – 80–120 PSI and 3 modes; Berdsen BD-200/201 – 30–120 PSI and 5 modes, including one for children.
• Tank capacity. 300–380 ml is enough to clean the whole mouth without refilling.
• Tips. The FIT2 HFP11 comes with 6 tips, including orthodontic tips for braces and a tongue cleaner. Use a separate tip for each family member; spare FIT2 tips are sold separately.
• Battery and water resistance. All our flossers are cordless and charge via USB-C, lasting from 3–4 weeks to a month on a charge; IPX7 models can be used in the shower.

Electric toothbrush

The FIT2 X-5 vibrates at 32,000–42,000 strokes per minute and has 6 modes with 3 intensity levels plus a 2-minute timer that reminds you every 30 seconds to move to the next area. It comes with 8 brush heads, is water-resistant (IPX7) and lasts up to 30 days on a charge.

For travel

Compact cordless flossers (FIT2 A18, Berdsen BD-200 with a travel pouch) and toothbrushes with a long-lasting battery fit easily into a toiletry bag. If your gums bleed or hurt for more than a few days, see a dentist.

More personal care devices are in beauty & health. You can see most products at the FIT2 store in Vilnius Outlet (Vytauto Pociūno g. 8, 2nd floor) – it's worth checking availability of a specific model in advance.
