Hausberg HB-3514IN 3-in-1 Sandwich Maker (Grill, Waffle, Donut) 700-800W

Get three appliances in one with the Hausberg HB-3514IN snack maker. It comes with three sets of interchangeable non-stick plates — a ribbed grill and sandwich plate for toasties and paninis, a waffle plate for crisp Belgian-style waffles, and a donut plate for mini doughnuts — so you can switch from breakfast to dessert in seconds. The 700–800 W heating element warms up in about 2 minutes, and red and green indicator lights show power and ready status. The stainless steel and bakelite body is durable, and the handle clip keeps the appliance closed while cooking.

How to use

• Release the lid lock, lift the lid and fit the plates you want — waffle, donut, or grill and sandwich.
• Close the appliance, plug it in and preheat it for about 2 minutes. The red light shows that it is on, the green one that it is up to temperature.
• Put the food on the lower plate, close the lid and fasten the handle clip. The appliance is only to be operated in the closed position.
• Take the food out with wooden or plastic utensils, never metal ones.
• Unplug the appliance when you have finished and let it cool down.
• Changing the plates. Change them only once the appliance has cooled down completely. Move the plate release in the direction of the arrow until the plates come free and take them out. When fitting new plates, the mountings of both the top and the bottom plate must go into the cavities on the hinged side; press the plate down until it snaps in and locks.

Before the first use

• The first use burns off the manufacturer’s protective coating, and the appliance may smoke slightly. This is not harmful and stops after the first use, but the room must be well ventilated.
• Wipe the plates with a damp cloth and dry them.
• Place the appliance on a flat, dry, heat-resistant surface, away from water, hobs and flammable materials.

Important — safety

• Burn hazard: the plates and the accessible surfaces get very hot in use. Touch the handle only.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended while it is switched on.
• Do not immerse the cord, the plug or the appliance in water or any other liquid. Unplug it before cleaning.
• Do not use the appliance near water — a bath, a washbowl, a swimming pool or anywhere it could be splashed or immersed.
• Do not use it near gas or flammable materials such as benzene, paint thinner or sprays.
• Unplug it when it is not in use, and let it cool before putting on or taking off parts.
• Do not use the appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after it has malfunctioned, been damaged or started working intermittently. There are no user-serviceable parts inside — return it to an authorised service. A damaged cord may only be replaced by the manufacturer or a service agent.
• Use only accessories recommended by the manufacturer; others may cause injury or damage.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or touch hot surfaces. Do not place the appliance on or near a gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• The appliance must not be used by persons whose physical, sensory or mental capabilities prevent safe use, without supervision or proper instruction. Close supervision is necessary when it is used by or near children, and children must not play with it.
• For household use indoors only. Do not use it outdoors, do not use it for any other purpose and do not operate it with an external timer or a separate remote-control system.

Care

• Unplug the appliance and let it cool down. There is no need to take it apart for cleaning.
• Absorb excess oil with a paper towel, brush the crumbs out of the grooves and wipe the plates with a damp cloth and mild soap.
• Never immerse the appliance in water.
• Do not use scratching or sharp utensils, cleansers or oven cleaners on the plates — they scratch the non-stick surface.
• If any filling is difficult to remove, pour a little cooking oil onto the plate and wipe it off after 5 minutes, once the filling has softened.

Compliance and disposal

• The appliance complies with Directives 2014/35/EU (LVD), 2014/30/EU (EMC) and 2011/65/EU (RoHS) and carries the CE mark. The plates in contact with food are covered by Regulation (EC) 1935/2004.
• WEEE (2012/19/EU): do not dispose of the appliance with household waste — take it to an electrical and electronic waste collection point or return it to the seller.
