Hausberg HB-9910NG Crepe Maker

Make thin, even crepes and pancakes at home with the Hausberg HB-9910NG. It is a dip-style crepe maker: instead of pouring batter into a pan, you heat the plate, dip it into the batter for about three seconds and lift it out — a thin, even layer sticks to the plate and bakes in about twenty seconds. Every crepe comes out the same size and thickness, which a normal frying pan rarely manages. A batter pan is supplied, the lightweight handle is comfortable in the hand, and the non-stick plate wipes clean with a damp cloth.

How to use it

1. Before the first use, wipe the plate with a damp cloth and brush it with a little oil or butter.
2. Mix flour with eggs and gradually add liquid until the batter is smooth and about as thick as full-fat milk. Let it rest for 1–2 hours — the manufacturer notes the crepes turn out better this way.
3. Pour the batter into the supplied batter pan and plug the appliance in. Let the plate heat up for about 2–3 minutes.
4. Holding the handle, dip the plate face down into the batter for about 3 seconds and lift it out evenly.
5. Bake for about 20 seconds, until the surface changes colour and the edges turn golden and start to lift away.
6. Remove the crepe with a wooden or silicone spatula. Never use metal tools — they scratch the non-stick coating.

• The appliance has no thermostat and no automatic switch-off — you control the baking time yourself, and the plug must be pulled out once you finish baking. Never leave the appliance switched on unattended.
• Accessible surfaces get very hot while the appliance is working — hold it by the handle only.
• Do not immerse the appliance, cord or plug in water. Unplug and let it cool completely before cleaning; wipe the plate with a soft damp cloth.
