Retropolis Memphis is a tribute to the aesthetics of the last century. The stylish wood and plastic cabinet will decorate any interior, while inside you get everything you need today: Bluetooth 5.0 streaming from your phone, playback from a microSD card or a USB stick, and a three-band radio tuner with a lit dial. The radio can also work as an external computer speaker.

Music everywhere

Dual power supply – from the mains or from a rechargeable 18650 Li-Ion battery. The battery compartment has two slots and one battery is supplied, so the radio runs on one battery, two, or on mains power alone. A full charge takes about 3–4 hours. The telescopic antenna ensures stable FM and SW reception; for AM, turn the whole radio until reception improves.

How to use it

• Radio. Turn the radio on with the power and volume knob, select the band with the mode switch and tune with the tuning knob – the lit dial helps you tune precisely. Extend the telescopic antenna for FM and SW.
• USB and microSD. Select the MP3/BT mode. Once a USB stick or a memory card is inserted, playback from it starts automatically. Tracks are changed with the previous and next buttons, paused with the play/pause button.
• Bluetooth. In MP3/BT mode the radio switches to Bluetooth automatically if no USB stick or card is inserted. Find and select MEMPHIS on your phone – the radio confirms the connection by voice.
• Computer speaker. With a double-male USB DATA cable (not supplied) the radio can be connected to a computer and used as an external speaker.

Important

• The radio is not waterproof. Moisture inside can cause a short circuit, damage or fire. Do not use the radio with wet hands.
• Use the radio between 0 and 40 °C. Keep it away from direct sunlight, moisture, sand and dust, and never leave it in a car parked in the sun.
• Replace the battery only with the radio switched off and disconnected from the mains. Use only 18650 cells; do not mix old and new ones. If the radio will not be used for a long time, take the battery out, and charge it fully at least once every three months.
• The speakers contain strong magnets – do not keep magnetic-stripe bank cards or mechanical watches next to the radio.
• Prolonged listening at high volume can damage your hearing. Increase the volume gradually.
• Clean the cabinet with a soft dry cloth; do not use white spirit, benzine or other solvents.
