How to choose a power bank?
Choosing a power bank comes down to two questions: how many times do you want to recharge your phone, and how fast. Here's how to pick without mistakes.
Capacity (mAh). 10000 mAh charges most phones 1.5–2 times — enough for daily use and the most popular format (e.g. REMAX RPP-5 or RPP-23). 20000 mAh (REMAX RPP-296, RPP-26) suits a weekend trip or two devices. 40000–60000 mAh (REMAX RPP-596, RPP-565) are for hiking, fishing or a summer house off the grid: they'll charge the whole family, and the built-in LED light helps in the dark.
Flying? Airlines generally allow batteries up to 100 Wh (about 27000 mAh) in the cabin — pick 10000–20000 mAh for air travel and keep the big capacities for road trips.
Charging speed (W). If your phone supports fast charging, a basic 2.1 A power bank will charge it slowly. Choose a model with USB-C PD / QC fast charging: REMAX RPP-5 and RPP-71 deliver 22.5 W — about half a charge in roughly 30 minutes.
Built-in cables — never forget your cable again. Models like REMAX RPP-500, RPP-507 and RPP-679 have built-in USB-C and Lightning cables, so there's nothing extra to carry. Great for a handbag or travel.
Magnetic wireless (MagSafe). For iPhone users, the REMAX RPP-65 snaps onto the back of the phone and charges without any cables — you can keep using the phone while it charges.
Display and indicators. An LED display (e.g. REMAX RPP-683) shows the exact remaining percentage — no more guessing whether your power bank is charged.
Which one is right for you? Everyday carry — 10000 mAh with fast charging or built-in cables. iPhone user — the magnetic RPP-65. Travel and hiking — 20000 mAh and up. See all power banks in person at the FIT2 store in Vilnius Outlet or order online.
