How to use

• Wash the plate and the spatulas and dry them thoroughly before freezing.
• Put the plate in a food bag and freeze it for 8–12 hours, working surface facing down, at −18 °C or lower.
• Take the frozen plate out and set it flat on a smooth worktop.
• Pour on the prepared mix and add your toppings, then keep stirring and scraping the mixture back and forth with a spatula.
• After a few minutes the mixture sets into a thick layer that you scrape into rolls and transfer to a bowl.
• The plate has to be frozen again before the next portion — one freeze makes one serving.

Important

• The mixture must contain sugar. Plain or tap water without sugar freezes into hard ice that cannot be scraped up with a spatula. This is the most common reason the plate seems not to work.
• If the coolant inside the product leaks, stop using it and do not put food on it.
• Do not use sharp tools — knives, forks or metal scrapers — on the plate. Use only the supplied spatulas.
• Do not clean it with metal scourers, hard brushes or abrasives — they damage the working surface.
• Do not modify or disassemble the product.
• Keep it out of the reach of children; children may use it only under adult supervision.
• For indoor home use only. Do not use it outdoors, in direct sun or in the rain.
• Do not heat the plate, do not put it in an oven, a microwave or on a hob, and do not pour hot liquids on it.

Care

• Let the plate warm up to room temperature before washing.
• Wash it in warm water with a mild detergent and a soft sponge, then dry it thoroughly and store it dry.
• Do not soak the plate or leave it in water, and do not wash it in a dishwasher.

Compliance and disposal

• The product is not an electrical appliance, so the CE mark does not apply to it and WEEE (2012/19/EU) requirements do not apply either. It is covered by Regulation (EC) 1935/2004 on materials intended to come into contact with food, by Regulation (EU) 10/2011 for the plastic parts, and by the General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988.
• At the end of its life take the product to a waste collection site — it contains a coolant, so it must not be put in the household waste bin and must not be taken apart.
