How to use
- Take 1.4 l of whole or half-skimmed milk and a yoghurt starter. Both the milk and the starter must be at room temperature, above 20 °C — cold ingredients will not ferment properly.
- Sterilised milk is recommended. Flavoured milk is not recommended — it may prevent the yoghurt from setting.
- Stir the starter into the milk, pour the mixture into the glass jars and place them in the appliance.
- During preparation never cover the glass jars with the caps. The caps are only for storing the finished yoghurt.
- Switch the appliance on. After about seven hours an audible alarm signals that the yoghurt is ready.
- Put the caps on and move the jars to the fridge. The yoghurt keeps for up to 10 days and tastes best after 2–3 days.
- After transport or when the appliance has been in a cold room, leave it at room temperature for at least 1.5 hours before switching it on — otherwise condensation forms inside.
