GOTIE GLT-240G — cold in summer, hot in winter

The GOTIE GLT-240G ever travel thermoelectric cooler is made for road trips, camping, the allotment and picnics. With 24 litres of capacity it holds enough food and drink for a family weekend, and its dual cooling and heating function makes it useful all year round. It runs from the car's 12 V socket or from a 230 V mains outlet, so it works on the road and at home.

Two modes

• COLD — lowers the internal temperature up to 17 °C below the ambient temperature.
• HOT — warms the interior up to 65 °C.

Power draw is set separately: ECO for low consumption (lower cooling and heating performance) or MAX for normal consumption.

How a thermoelectric cooler works — please read

This appliance has no compressor and does not hold a set temperature — it only cools the air by a fixed difference from the surroundings. At 30 °C ambient the interior will be around 13 °C. It is therefore not suitable for medicines, insulin or anything else that needs a precisely maintained temperature, and it does not replace a household fridge for storing fresh meat or fish for long periods.

Both cords fit into the storage compartment under the lid.

Important — manufacturer's safety instructions

• Never connect the cooler to two power sources (12 V and 230 V) at the same time. This may cause electric shock and damage the appliance.
• Do not switch from COLD to HOT or back while the cooler is running. This causes irreparable damage — switch it off and wait about 30 minutes first.
• The cooler works in an upright position only. Do not turn it upside down, drop it or knock it.
• Do not cover the ventilation openings in the lid and never let the fans jam — do not put towels or cloths on the appliance. Jammed fans overheat and can cause a fire.
• Make sure both plugs sit tightly in their sockets; a loose plug heats the cord and socket.
• Keep the appliance away from flammable items and dampness.
• Do not leave the cooler switched on in the car with the ignition off — it will discharge the battery.
• Do not rinse the appliance with water and do not immerse the lid; make sure no water gets inside the lid. Wipe the lid with a damp cloth; the chamber and handle can be washed under running water.
• Do not dismantle or modify the appliance. Do not use it if the appliance, cord or plug is damaged; a damaged cord must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent.
• Not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lacking experience and knowledge, unless supervised or instructed by a person responsible for their safety.
